Letter to the editor: Character Matters

Updated: Mar 25

Thank you Lorraine Merriman Farrell for your letter to the editor!

Character Matters

For over 22 years, I have been in front of Monroe County judges as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Abused and Neglected Children. I have also served as a witness in child custody cases and observed cases in small claims courts, drug court, and other court proceedings.

These experiences gave me the opportunity to see many of our judges in action and determine first hand what it takes to excel in this very serious, demanding work.

Jeff Kehr’s outstanding character will play a critical role in his effectiveness as a judge. Jeff is a very intelligent, hard-working, and honest individual with strong moral principles. As a judge, all who come into his courtroom can count on him to be respectful, knowledgeable, and deliver equal treatment under the law.

Jeff's relevant service is ongoing and noteworthy. I urge you to visit his campaign website at www.jeffkehrforjudge.com to review his experience in our courtrooms and throughout our community. Then, please join me in casting your vote - on or before May 5th - for my friend, and current First Deputy Prosecutor, Jeff Kehr, for Monroe Circuit Court Judge, Seat 5. He's a perfect fit.
